STANLEY MULNIX
Stanley MULNIX, a longtime resident of Eagle County, died early Monday morning at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood of cancer. He was 61 years of age.
Born at Woodland Park, Colo. March 18, 1900, he was the eldest of six children born to Cora and Albert MULNIX. His parents,now both deceased, were prominent Gypsum residents for many years.
Mr. MULNIX was married on Oct. 22, 1927 to Anna HOLDEN at Leadville. Over the past 40 years he had resided in the Sweetwater, Burns and Gypsum areas. Since 1935 he had been employed on the road crew of Eagle County. For the past several years he had been superintendent of roads and bridges.
He was Past Master of Castle Lodge No. 122 AF&AM at Eagle and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 86 at Eagle. He was also a member of the Gypsum Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held in the Gypsum Methodist Church Thursday afternoon, Feb. 22, 1962 by Rev. H. C. MOORHEAD, Miller Funeral Home of Eagle was in charge of interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery Gypsum.
Pallbearers were Ed COOK, Ira BINDLEY, Harry LONG, Hubert PETERSON, Wm. STANLEY and Dan RULE.
Mr. MULNIX is survived by his wife, Anna of Gypsum; a son, Bill of Mason City, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy NEFF of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 6 grandchildren; two brothers: Frank of Ft. Collins and Harold of Grand Junction; and three sisters: Pauline MULNIX of Gypsum; Gladys WILLIAMS of Viet Nam and Edna WHITE of Denver.
