Patricia R. French was born on June 22, 1936. She lived her early life in Leadville, graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1954. It's here where she met her lifelong best friend, Mary Lou Richards (Miller). They talked often throughout their lives and loved to recount the adventures and misadventures from their youth.

Pat French met and married Hugh Norwood in 1955 and returned to his home home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama and where Allen was soon born in 1957.

Upon Norwood's graduation, the family relocated to Birmingham, Alabama, where Norwood began his technical writing career. Steve Norwood was born to the growing family in 1958.

In 1960, the young family relocated to a nwe home on Michigan Way in the Harvey Park Area of Denver, when Norwood went to work as a technical wrter for Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin) located in nearby Littleton. They soon bought their first home on South Quitman, Boar Valley, Denver, where Fear would live from 1962 until her passing. She gave birth to her daughter, Michelle, in 1968.

Pat Fear had met the love of her life in 1955 while still in high school. In 1985, Pat and Joe Fear were reunited and Joe Fear soon relocated to Denver to be near her. They were married on April 22, 1990, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and also received a Catholic blessing ceremony in Denver in 1992.

Theirs was said to be a storybook romance that lasted 25 years until the moment Pat Fear died. Services were held last Tuesday, September 20, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Denver. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fear's name to the National Kidney Foundation would be appreciated at www.kidney.org/donation.
