Richard Holsan, 76, Palisade, died April 12, 2016, at his home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. April 29 at Martin Mortuary. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens.He was a land surveyor.Survivors include one son, Jason of Grand Junction; one daughter, Denise Holsan of Fort Collins; two brothers, Gary Holsan of Thayne, Wyoming, and Kent Holsan of Clifton; one sister, Myrna Smith of Mesa; and two grandchildren. Richard L. Holsan, 76, of
Palisade passed away
Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at his
home.
He was born March 15,
1940, in Grand Junction, the
son of Robert and Edna
(Mead) Holsan. Richard
graduated from Central High
School and attended Mesa
College. He entered the
United States Army from 1962 to 1965. He had also lived in
Glenwood Springs and Silt, CO.
During his working career he was a professional land surveyor.
His interests included playing golf, riding motorcycles and
enjoying time outdoors.
Survivors include son, Jason and his wife, Renee Holsan of
Grand Junction; daughter, Denise Holsan of Ft. Collins, CO;
grandchildren, Kayla and Owen Holsan; brothers, Gary (Linda)
Holsan of Thayne, Wyoming; Kent (Vickie) Holsan of Clifton,
CO, and sister, Myrna (Bruce) Smith of Mesa, CO. He was
previously married to Ellen Holsan.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:30
a.m. at Martin Mortuary. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens
Cemetery with military honors.
His death has left sadness with family and friends, but the
memories light the path ahead.
