Kenneth L. Brew, 88, Pea Green, died April 11, 2016, at Horizon’s
Care Center in Eckert.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. today at the Delta Assembly of
God Church. Interment will follow at the Delta City Cemetery. A
reception after services will be at Pea Green Hall.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis of Cedaredge, Ronald of
Parker, and Randy of Grand Junction; one brother, Robert Brew
of Pea Green; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

passed away on Monday,
April 11, 2016, at Horizon’s
Care Center in Eckert,
Colorado. He was 88 years
old.
A visitation will be held
from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at
Taylor Funeral Service in
Delta, Colorado. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m.,
Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Delta Assembly of God in Delta,
Colorado. Interment will follow at Delta City Cemetery.
Following the graveside there will be a dinner at the Pea Green
Hall for family and friends to visit.
Ken and a twin sister, JoAnn, were born to Cecil and Irene
Brew in Pea Green, Colorado. He attended Pea Green area
schools and Olathe High School. After graduation, he served in
the United States Navy for two years.
Ken married the love of his life, Helen Duncan of Austin,
Colorado, on December 23, 1949. They celebrated 62 years of
marriage together before she passed away in 2012. Together
they raised three boys.
He was a lifelong farmer and also worked at the Holly Sugar
Factory in the winter months. He served on the Agricultural
Stabilization and Conservation Service committee for over 40
years.
Ken loved his farm, and also enjoyed snowmobiling in his
younger years. He also enjoyed camping and golfing. He had
great memories of “the dinner club” which consisted of many
lifelong friends. They had great card games, lunches together
and traveled to various destinations such as Hawaii and Canada.
He loved visits with his grandkids and great grandkids.
Kenneth is survived by his three sons, Dennis (June) Brew of
Cedaredge, Colorado; Ronald Brew of Parker, Colorado, and
Randy (Crystal) Brew of Grand Junction, Colorado; brother,
Robert (Twilah) Brew of Pea Green, Colorado; six
grandchildren, Amber (Allyn) Burns of LeRoy, NY; Corey
(Christi) Brew of Omaha, NB; Miranda (Britton) Cottrell of
Greeley, CO; Justine Brew of Hollywood, CA; Andrea (Kenny)
Kessler of Falcon, CO, and Brian (Rachel) Brew of Grand
Junction, CO; 11 great-grandchildren and many nephews and
nieces.
Ken was predeceased by wife, Helen; parents, Cecil and Irene
Brew; brother, Merle Brew and sister, JoAnn Anders.
