RALPH ROY MARFITANO 1923-1993.
Ralph Roy MARFITANO of Grand Junction died Feb. 23 at St. Mary's Hospital following a short illness. He was 69.
Ralph was born June 3, 1923,in Ridgeway to Ralph and Stella (Allaria) MARFITANO. He spent his childhood in Red Cliff, where he graduated from High School. He worked as an assayer for the New Jersey Zinc Company in Gilman, and also as a meter technician for Holy Cross Electric in Glenwood Springs. He had lived in Grand Junction for two years. He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II.
He married Rose Marie BARONE on June 12, 1949 in Glenwood Springs.
Ralph enjoyed music, gardening and his grandchildren. Survivors include: his wife, Rose MARFITANO of Grand Junction; sons [sic] David and Bobbie MARFITANO of Denver; grandchildren Steven, Caroline, Lisa and Andrew MARFITANO, all of Denver; sister Mrs. John (Joy) Boltjes of Otis, Colo. His parents preceded him in death.
Burial was at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs. Services were held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, Grand Junction, with the Rev. A.J. BERTRAN officiating.

Ralph Roy MARFITANO of Grand Junction died Tuesday in St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness. He was 69.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary chapel with the Rev. A. J. BERTRAND officiating. Burial will be in Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.
Mr. MARFITANO was an assayer for New Jersey Zinc Co. in Gilman, and a meter technician for Holy Cross Electric in Glenwood Springs. He was a resident of Grand Junction for 2 years.
He was born June 3, 1923,to Ralphand Stella Allaria MARFITANO in Ridgway. He spent his childhood and graduated from high school at Red Cliff.
He married Rose Marie BARONE on June 12, 1949, in Glenwood Springs. She survives.
Mr. MARFITANO was a member of the Catholic Church.
He served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II.
Mr. MARFITANO enjoyed music, gardening and his grandchildren.
Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Bobbie MARFITANO, and four grandchildren, Steven, Caroline, Lisa and Andrew MARFITANO, all of Denver, and a sister, Joy BOLTJES of Otis.
