Longtime local Howard Thompson has died. He was 47.
Thompson died unexpectedly at home on Oct. 29 from complications from a recent motorcycle accident.Born on Nov. 10, 1956 in Cleveland, he is survived by his sister, Joan Landreth and her husband, Michael; his brother, Edward Thompson; his nephew, Connor Thompson; and close friend and roommate Suzanne Migone.
Thompson was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and had lived in the Vail Valley since 1980.Memorial services will be held at the Donovan park pavilion on Wednesday. Friends and family are welcome from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and a service will be held at 5 p.m.
