Mass of the Christian burial for Ramitos Clementina Medina,a longtime teacher at the Minturn Elementary School, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 26 , at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Raisville, N.M. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rainsville.

Mrs. Medina died Sunday Jan 21 at the Glen Valley Nursing home in Glenwood Springs. She was 78.

She was born Sept 3, 1911 in Lucero, N.M., the daughter of Demetrio and Adelaida Montoya. She lived in Minturn for 46 years, after moving there from Rainsville.

She was married April 10, 1944 to Tobian Medina who preceded her in death in 1984.

Mrs. Medina attended Adams State College in Alamosa, where she received her bachelor's degree in elementary education. She then served as a teacher at the Minturn Elementary School.

Surviving are five children, Jerry T. Medina of Texas, Willie Medina of California, Marge Ignacio of California, Bessie Betancourt of California and Melinda E. Martinez of Minturn; four brothers and sisters, George Montoya of Amarillo, TX, Emilia Salazer of Albuequerque; Aduilia Detavis of Wagon Mound, NM; and Rafael Montoya of Rainsville; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A rosary for Mrs. Medina was held at 7:30 PM Wednesday January 24 at St. Patricks' Catholic Church in Minturn.
