Ronald Leon Phillips, 66,
passed away June 22, 2016, at
his Grand Junction home.
He was born March 20,
1950, in Oak Creek, CO, to
Boyd Phillips Jr. and Myrtle
E. Whaley. He moved to the
Grand Junction area with is
family in 1955, where he
attended and graduated from
Palisade High School then
when to Colorado School of Mines.
He was quite the storyteller, smart; everyone learned
something from him. He touched everyone who knew him,
whether good or bad.
He married Delores Ann Clyncke, June 10, 1972, and is
survived by her and daughters, Kanda, Terra, and Ronda; eight
grandchildren; and his parents, Boyd and Myrtle Phillips as well
as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous
special friends. He is preceded in death by two of his sisters,
Ginger and Genelle.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday July 9, 2016, at
11:00 a.m. at Grand Valley Funeral Homes, Grand Junction
Chapel, 1022 Grand Ave., Grand Junction. The interment will
be held Sunday, July 10, 2016, in Yampa, Colorado. All fellow
street rodders are welcome to bring their rods to the Memorial
Service for a procession to the reception after.
