Robert Campbell Dies in Minturn Home
Robert Campbell was born September 25, 1893 at New Boston, TX and died at his home in Minturn December 27, 1970. Mr. Campbell had been ill for 2 years. He works on farms in OK and at a sawmill in AR before coming to Colorado, where he was employed at camp Hale near Red Cliff and later at the Fleming Sawmill on Gore Creek until his retirement at age 65 in 1958. He married Annie Laurie Fish in Garden City, KS July 20, 1942. The couple have made their home in Minturn for many years. Burial was in Minturn December 30. Stepchildren coming for the funeral were Cora Bowles of Las Vegas, NV; Mary Clark, Portland; Thomas Fish Farmington, New Mexico. Other survivors are his wife and another step-daughter, Amanda Sisson of Farmington, NM; Lela Barz, stepdaughter, preceded Mr. Campbell in death.
