Steamboat Pilot - September 30, 1903
Tom Watson, well known to nearly everyone in Routt county, died last week in Egeria. Mr. Watson was one of the old time cattle men of the county and had many friends.

The funeral of Thos. Watson, one of the early settlers of Routt county who died last Thursday, occurred Sunday and the body was laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery, there to await the final day of resurrection. His was a busy life and ever ready to advance the best interests of this part of Colorado. Many a friend in Routt County will drop a tear on the grave of Tom Watson.

Tom Watson, one of the old timers of Egeria Park, is very sick at the home of L.F. Windbigler. He may not live another twenty-four hours, (Thursday afternoon) He has many friend in Routt County.
Later -- Mr Watson died at 8 o'clock.
