Harold "Hal" Hoffman
November 26, 1937 - December 22, 2016
Hal was born in Windsor, Colorado but spent most of his life on the Western Slope, moving to Craig in 1950 and graduating from high school in 1957. He married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Ann Snyder. They were blessed with two children, Chad and Sabrina. Hal was active in many civic and community organizations, including 15 plus years in the Army National Guard. On November 29th 1980, Hal married Dianna Boggs (Rifle, CO) in Glenwood Springs.
Hal was gifted in many areas and worked hard at a wide
variety of jobs over his lifetime. His greatest joy was founding
and owning All Season Sports in Craig, Colorado. All Season
Sports earned a regional reputation for Hal’s gunsmithing and
bicycle shop. He also gave 20 years of service to the Craig
Rural Fire Department. In 1989 Hal retired, and he and Dianna
moved to the Grand Valley, where they enjoyed new
opportunities for employment, adventure, and spiritual growth.
During this time, they developed many treasured friendships. In
retirement, Hal enjoyed being a "snow bird", travelling to
Arizona in the winter.
Hal is survived by his wife, Dianna, of Fruita, CO; sister,
Barbara (Larry) Summers of Littleton, CO; sister, Bonnie (Ron)
Wilson of Craig, CO; son, Chad Hoffman of Arizona City, AZ;
daughter, Sabrina Hoffman of Grand Junction, CO; bonus son,
Rodger (Melissa) Boggs of Denver, CO; bonus daughter,
Roxann Lynn of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
The "Halleluiah Hal" Celebration will be held on January 14 at
1:00 p.m. at New Horizons Foursquare Church (641 Horizon
Drive in Grand Junction between 7th and 12th).

Harold “Hal” Hoffman, 79, Fruita, died Dec. 22, 2016, at
HopeWest and Hospice Care Center.
A celebration of life will be held at New Horizon Foursquare
Church at a later date.
He was a sporting-goods business owner.
Survivors include his wife, Dianna; one son, Chad of Arizona
City, Arizona; one stepson, Rodger Boggs of Denger; one daughter,
Sabrina Hoffman of Grand Junction; one stepdaughter, Roxann
Lynn of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Barbara Summers of Lakewood
and Bonnie Wilson of Craig; seven grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
