Anthony Ted Cruz, 56, Grand Junction, died Aug. 31, 2016, at
St. Mary’s Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery
of Western Colorado.
He was a meter reader for Xcel Energy.
Survivors include his wife, Kelli Marie; his mother, Carlotta Cusick
of Grand Junction; two sons, Jason and Jared, both of Grand
Junction; two daughters, Amera of Boston and Dylin of Fort Collins;
one brother, Danny of Grand Junction; two sisters, Susie Lovato
and Linda Sandoval, both of Grand Junction; and one grandchild.

Anthony Ted Cruz, 56,
passed away on August 31st,
at St. Mary’s Hospital in
Grand Junction, Colorado.
Anthony is survived by his
beloved wife, Kelli; mother,
Carlotta Cusick; children,
Jason (Shannon), Jared
(Amanda), Amera, and Dylin;
granddaughter, Jaeda;
siblings, Linda Sandoval
(Gene), Danny Cruz, and Susie Lovato (Don).
Anthony was born to Armando and Carlotta Cruz, and raised
in Grand Junction, Colorado. After graduating high school,
Anthony enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served
four years as a Sensor Operator. Throughout his service,
Anthony spent much of the time overseas, where he cultivated a
love of traveling. After an honorary discharge in 1984, he soon
married Kelli Marie Fallis on February 8th, 1986.
Anthony began working for Xcel Energy in 1989, where he
worked until 2015. He served as a meter reader, which he
enjoyed greatly for his ability to work outside.
Anthony and his family spent much of their time traveling all
over the country and parts of the world. He was the rock of the
family, a simple man, and the king of one-liners. He enjoyed
beans and chili on Sundays, followed by watching his favorite
Colorado sports teams.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 7th,
2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Grand
Junction.
