STANLEY CORBIN
A3C Stanley Richard Corbin was born Feb. 10, 1934 at Gilman, Colo, and died April 9 at Laughlin Air Force Base. Del Rio Texas. He was the son of Grace and Walter Corbin who preceded him tin deai.h and attended his first two years of school in Red Cliff land Mintum. After the death of 1 his father, with his sister and brother, he entered Mooscheart, ' Illinois in 1943, from Where he ! graduated from high school in June 1953. He was a member of ! the ROTO. football, and track | teams and the Boy Scouts. After graduation he returned to Red Cliff to live with his grandmother, Mrs Mary Lewis, and worked for the Empire Zinc Company at Gilman. In November 1953 he enlisted in the Air Force and at the time of his death he was an active member of the Del Rio First Baptist Church. Miltary services were held in the Red Cliff Presbyterian church I April 17. Rev. Richard Baker ofI Related- Burial was directed by Moynahan-O’Malia Mortuary dt Leadville. Kathryn Owen, Mae Flaherty. Esther Mae Reed and Blanche Sundberg, sang three numbers, accompanied by Amelia Nordlander. Pall bearers were: Ralph , Henderson, Jr., Nick Loewaye, i Hugh Riley, Jr.. Emmett Flaherty I Jr., Roy Marfitano, and Jack Owen. Color guards were Glen Manges, Juan Roybal, Tom Reed and Tony Gonzales all of Battle Mountain Post 47 American Legion. Military personnel of Camp Hale taking part in the burial service were Pfc. Louis J. Voros. Sgt- James L H all, Sgt. Arine Harber, Pfc. George J. Arrol, Pfc Richard B. Barrett, Cpl. Charles K. Brown. Pfc- Donald L. Gardner, Pvt. Vernon S. Keeperes and Pvt. Frederick E. Adams. John Cook of Leadville was bugler. He is survived by his grandmothers, Mrs Mary Lewis of Red Cliff and Mrs Sturtevant of Pasadena. Calif., a sister, Carol of Red Cliff and a brother, Wesley of Mooscheart-111.
