A triple tragedy occurred at Minturn about 6 o'clock last night the dead being: Petrolio Parvis, a rancher, 50; Lotrida Paltinco, his stepdaughter, 16; John Cordova. Cordova, according to the story told by Town Marshall DeLong of Minturn, entered the cabin occupied by Parvis on the outskirts of town and after a few words with the latter, drew a .45 caliber revolver and began shooting. The first shot struck the rancher, killing him instantly; the second hit the girl Lotrida and third struck the mother. Cordova then turned the weapon on himself and fell with a bullet through the jaw. He lived about 45 minutes. The girl died in two hours. Last summer Cordova had boarded with the Parvis family and soon began to pay marked attention to their daughter. His action s displease the parents of the child and finally Cordova was ordered to leave. Cordova, however, continued his attentions to the girl and Parvis warned him to stay away from teh house. The young man persisted, however, in hanging around the place and finally Parvis had him arrested for disturbing the peace.
