Robert L. Cossins of Glenwood Springs died Saturday May 11 at Glen Valley Care Center in Glenwood Springs. He was 79. Mr. Cossins was born June 19, 1922 in Oakland, Ill., to Charlse Robert Cossins and Flora Naphew Cossins. He served in the Navy in World War II on an arircraft carrier and later served in the Air Force from which he retired, and as a civilian employee f the Marines, for a total of 30 years of federal service. In Glenwood Springs, he was a member of the Eagles Aerie No. 215 the American Legion Post 100 in Carbondale, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Glenwood Springs. He is survived by his wife, Faye Cossins; brothers Jack Cossins of Grand Junction, James Cossins of Texas and Charles Cossins of Glenwood Springs; sisters Flossie Eaton, Shirley Bryant, Ginnie Knudsen and Lila Simillion; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Farnum Holt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was at Rosebud Cemetery.
