France, 62, Grand Junction,
died July 7, 2016, at the VA Community
Living Center.
Services will take place at
10 a.m. July 22 at the Veterans
Memorial Cemetery of Western
Colorado.
He was a heavy-equipment
operator.

"Jerry" France
May 18, 1954 - July 7, 2016
Jerry was born May 18,
1954, in Poughkeepsie, NY to
Emily Pearson and Norman
France. Gerald was called to
join his Lord and Savior after
a difficult, four year battle
with Cancer on July 7, 2016,
in Grand Junction, CO.
Gerald attended school in
upstate New York and
graduated from Pine Bush
Central High School, Pine
Bush, NY. Shortly after he
enlisted in the United States
Navy Seabees on May 25,
1972. He was honorably
discharged May 1, 1981.
He worked as a Millwright, a
Crane Operator, and a Heavy
Equipment Operator. He
enjoyed the freedoms of the
open road and was a delivery
driver for a small handful of local companies.
Gerald’s hobbies and interests included his barbecue, baking
his homemade bread and anything else that involved a pot or a
pan. He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was an avid
and loyal fan of the Seattle Seahawks, as well as the Colorado
Rockies.
In later years, Gerald found himself heavily involved in the
studies of Jesus Christ.
Following cremation, there will be a service with military
Honors at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado,
2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO on July 22, 2016
at 10:00 a.m.
