Larry E. Dangler Sr., 87, Grand Junction, died July 11, 2016, at
HopeWest and Hospice Care Center.
Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Interment will follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; one son, Larry E. Jr. of Grand
Junction; two daughters, Leta Wilburn and Tammie Dalton, both
of Grand Junction; four sisters, Audrey Satterfield, Peggy Tillman
and Karen Daugherty, all of Grand Junction, and Arlene Dangler
of Fredericksburg, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Larry Eugene Dangler Sr.,
87, went to be with our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ on July
11, 2016. When he passed,
he was surrounded by his family
at Hopewest Hospice following
a long battle of cancer.
He was born April 26, 1929,
in Ferndale, Michigan to Byron
McCoy Dangler and Goldie
Harris (Dangler). Larry
grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado and attended Columbus Elementary
School in Orchard Mesa through the seventh grade.
As a young man, he enlisted into the Army during the post war
cleanup and was discharged with a back injury.
Larry married Esther Joyce McNeely on September 30,1950.
Soon after, they moved to California where they raised their
three children, Leta, Larry Jr., and Tammie.
Larry was a true American entrepreneur, owning and operating
several small businesses including a successful masonry business
that he operated for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Gates and his
brother, Paul Dangler.
He had many hobbies but supporting and spending time with
his family was his first priority.
He is survived by his four sisters, Audrey Satterfield, Peggy
Tillman, Arlene Dangler, and Karen Dougherty; his beautiful
loving wife, Esther Joyce Dangler; his children, Leta Wilburn,
Larry Jr., and Tammie Dalton. He is also survived by his eight
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Please come join us at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on Friday, July
15 at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate the life of one of the most wonderful
men we have ever known.
