August 10, 1930 - June 17, 2016
Joyce Fogg peacefully passed away in her home June 17th, 2016, she was 85.
A graveside service is planned for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016, at the Cedaredge Cemetery. A viewing will be at Taylor Funeral Service, 105 SE Frontier in Cedaredge on June 22 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Joyce was born August 10th, 1930, to Roger “Dink”
McGlothlin and Bonnah Smith in Sweetwater, TX. Joyce spent
her early childhood in Roscoe, TX and Ridgeway, CO. She
married the love of her life, Clarence Fogg, on April 5th, 1947.
Together they had three sons.
Joyce was an active member in society. She was a member of
the 3 Corner Club and enjoyed playing bridge. She and Clarence raised their three sons on an orchard where she was content and proud. She was interested in policies and procedures of this world and beating her grandchildren at Scrabble. She was
always a willing entertainer where a cup of coffee enjoyed with
sourdough pancakes was a daily occurrence with many friends
and family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Clarence Fogg; three
sons, Scott (JoAnne) Fogg of Hotchkiss, CO; Bruce (Patty)
Fogg of Las Vegas, NV, and Chann (Carol) Fogg of Cedaredge, CO; brothers, Bassett “Buckley” Nix of Phoenix, AZ and James Broadwell of NC; six grandchildren, Breanna Fogg, Brandi Dantzler, Tina Kosmach, Justin Fogg, Candyce Blair, and Bobby Fogg; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandson.
Mrs. Fogg was preceded in death by her brother, Steve
McGlothlin and two grandsons, Guy Fogg and Dane Fogg.
Memorial contributions would best be served preserving
memories. Contributions may be made to further research to
combat Alzheimer’s and/or furthering any education which was
always a passion of Joyce’s.
