Mrs. Alpherna Marie Dilley died in the Valley View Hospital in Glenwood November 17 after a brief illness.
The funeral service was conducted Thursday afternoon in the IOOF Hall in Gypsum by Jerald Lee Peterson, Branch President, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and burial was in the Gypsum Cemetery.
Alpherna M. Vogtli was born Feb. 9, 1917 at Oconto, WI and spent her childhood in Bensonville, Ill. She was married on October 19. 1935 to Orval C. Dilley at Bensonville.
Mr. Dilley is a retired General Motors employee and upon his retirement he and his wife moved to Gypsum about a year ago. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters Arlene Elliott, Carson, CA; Barbara Edenburn, Villa Park, Ill; Jeri Chapman, Lamont, IL; and Judith Gibson Clayton, IL. Three sisters and 25 grandchildren also survive.
