Mrs. Ida Mary Doyle of Minturn died in the Leadville hospital December 29, 1965 following a long illness. She was 74 years old.
She was born in Pueblo August 31, 1891 the daughter of Mary and Thomas Gossert and as a young woman lived in Leadville where she attended school and was married to John W. Doyle, Sr.
The Doyles lived in Gilman for many yeras, where Mr. Doyle worked in the Empire Zinc Co. mines and Mrs. Doyle managed a boarding house. Later Mrs. Doyle moved to Minturn. She is survived by two sons John (Smiles) of Leadville and Donald R. of Texas City, Texas; and one daughter, Mrs. Polly Jeffries of Minturn. Another daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Phillips preceded her in death. A sister, Mrs. Carrie Newman of Waynesboro, Pa also survives.
Father Hamblin was in charge of the funeral Mass conducted at the Annunciation Church in Leadville January 3 and burial was in Leadville. Pall bearers were Joe Keating, Ed Duffy, Joe Clark, Frank Sherwood, Art Guy, and James Smalich.
