Marjorie E. Chandler, 90, Eagle, died March 21, 2017, in Eagle.
Services will be at 11 a.m. May 27 at Golden Eagle Ranch, 3905
County Road 241, New Castle.
She was a family nurse practitioner.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan Chandler-Reed of
Montrose, Kathy Chandler-Henry of Eagle and Elizabeth Chandler
of New Castle; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Marjorie Chandler
July 25, 1926 - March 21, 2017
Marjorie Chandler died at
home with her family by her
side on March 21, 2017, from
complications of osteoporosis.
She was born at the Sample
family ranch on E. Elk Creek
near New Castle. She married
George Chandler in 1952 and
shared 59 years with him
before his death in 2011.
Marge was a loving and
adventurous mother and a medical pioneer. She was a member
of the first class of Family Nurse Practitioners in the country.
Marge loved to travel and enjoyed meeting people around the
world. She was a gardener and an outdoorswoman. She and
George moved from Eagle to New Castle in 1977, and Marge
moved back to Eagle in 2012 to the Golden Eagle Senior Center
where she enjoyed activities with friends old and new.
Marge is survived by her daughters, Susan (Alan), Kathy
(George), and Elizabeth; seven grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned for May 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the
family ranch, 3905 County Road 241, New Castle. All are
welcome and are invited to join the family after the memorial
for lunch.
