Last Friday morning William and son Anthony , aged 15, left Basalt going up Wheatley gulch to hunt . They separated and were each ¦ supposed to makae a half circle, meeting later. The boy drifted from his intended course ant got in front of his father. Mr . Eisworth seeing something _moving in the brush ahead of him , believing it was an animal, fired . The moving object was his son. The father's aim was true and the path of the bullet unerring, as the ball struck the boy one inch above the heart . When ho discovered his mistake, the father was almost wild , but picked the boy up and carried him until exhausted. Mr . Eiswerth is a small man, while his son but 15, is larger than he, and it was impossible for him to carry tie limp figure very far. He notified a nearby ranchman , who telephoned Dr . Kennedy in Basalt , who left immediately for the scene < rf the shooiing . Upon arriving , which was two hours after the accident, the physician found the boy breathing his last . Where Mr . _Eiswerth made tie sad mistake was about three miles from Basalt . The accident happened at one o'clock . The father is dis : r cted _ovot the fatal error he made , which took from him a son . The remains wore interred at Basalt cemetery Sunday.
