Police suspect drugs in man's death in Eagle

A man found dead in an Eagle hotel room Thursday most likely died of a drug overdose. Michael Bair, 29, was found by Eagle police after the manager of the Suburban Lodge called them in to check on Bair, whose father and girlfriend had called the manager. The door was deadbolted. After forcing entry, police found Bair's body on a couch. There were no signs of a struggle, according to police and preliminary autopsy results indicate drug use, Eagle police chief Phil Biersdorfer said. Bair's last known address was in Delta. Eagle County coroner Donna Barnes said Bair had checked into the motel on June 7 and his last contact with his father had been June 9 or 10.
