Margaret "Jenniev" Leatherman, 82, of Baggs, Wyo., died Jan.25, 1998 at Valley View Manor in Craig. She was the daughter of James O. and Margaret Williams Stetson.
Born in Carlsbad, N.M., on Jan. 27, 1915 she spent her childhood north of Craig and in Oak Creek. She graduated from high school in Oak Creek and was a telephone operator there and in Elko, Nev. She married Edward F. Leatherman on April 9, 1933, in Oak Creek. He preceded her in death in 1970. She retired from the telephone company in Elko, Nev. She resided in Craig for a short time at the nursing home. Prior to that she resided in Elko, Nev., and Baggs, Wyo., for several years.
Jenniev enjoyed playing pinochle, music, feeding the birds, gardening and being in the outdoors. She also worked with the senior citizen program in Baggs, Wyo.
Funeral services were on Wednesday, Jan.28, 1998, at 2 p.m. in Oak Creek. Burial was at the Oak Creek Cemetery.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ivy Daugherty; and brothers Mitchell, Jenkins and James Stetson.
