Bruce Eugene Howell, 84, Grand Junction, died Oct. 31, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was an AT&T installation specialist.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly J.; two sons, Brett D. of Grand Junction, and Dirk E. of Firestone; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bruce Eugene Howell of
Grand Junction went to his
Home in Glory on October
31, 2016. His passion in life
was caring for his family and
being a loving husband and
father.
Born in Pueblo, Colorado,
he was the only child of
Charles and Beulah Howell.
His early childhood was spent
in Haswell, Colorado and then Pueblo, where he graduated from
Centennial High School in 1949. On May 4th, 1957, he married
Beverly June Gregory.
He served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army during
the Korean War. His career with AT&T Western Electric began
in 1952, where he worked as an installation supervisor until his
retirement in 1984. After retiring from AT&T, he worked as a
subcontractor for Qwest Communications in Colorado,
Minnesota, Arizona, Texas, and Washington.
For more than 50 years, he was an active member of Orchard
Mesa Christian Church, where he served as an elder for many
years.
His daughter, Denise McBride, preceded him in death in 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; sons, Brett (Lori) Howell of
Grand Junction, CO, and Dirk Howell of Firestone, CO; son-inlaw,
Joel McBride of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Danielle
(Shawn) Liddicoat of Grand Junction and Aaron (Jessica)
Howell of Detroit, MI; and great-grandchildren, Jaxyn, Asher,
and Jasper Liddicoat.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 18th,
2016, at 12 noon, at Orchard Mesa Christian Church followed
by interment at 3:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
