Death of George Frye in Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs at 7 o'clock this morning came as a sorrowful shock to his large circle of friends throughout the Eagle River Valley. Mr. Frey [Frye?] had been in the Glenwood hospital late in March and released to return to work. He entered the Colorado Springs hospital last week for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Frey moved to Eagle a few months ago from Gilman where they had lived for a good many years. He was employed by the New Jersey Zinc Co. at Gilman and moved to Eagle because of his health. Here he was employed at Mick's 66 Station.
