The community was deeply shocked Thursday evening of last week when word came of the death of Raymond Gabert at the Gilman hospital. Mr. Gabert had undergone a hernia operation the week previous, and was thought to be well out of danger until a few hours before his death.
For several years past , Mr . Gabert had resided jwith his family in . Eagle , having built a new home in .. the east part of town last year . He had been employed at the Empire / Zinc mines for the past three or four year * , and during that that. had made scores of friends in all parts of the county . Raymond Gabert was born . October 13 , 1911 , to Mr . and Mrs . John Gabert , at Adair , Okla ., and received bis education in the Adair public schools . He was united in marriage t 0 Georgia Blagg in Siloam Springs, Ark ., Oct. 18 , 1934 . Mr . and Mrs. Gabert moved to Eagle about four years ago . Death came Thanksgiving night , 1941 , at Gilman , Colo . •• ¦ Burial Was made in Pueblo , Colo ., beside the body of his father ; who died a few months ago , Monday afternoon in the Roselawn cemetery . Six cousins of the deceased were pallbearers—John Klamm , Cecil Klamm , Clay Klamm , Dick Klamm , George Chance , and Plate Klamm. Besides his widow , he is survived 1 by a son , Barry, aged 2 1/2 years.
