Funeral services for former Eagle County resident Ida May Galpin, 92, were held Feb. 3rd at the Eagle Methodist Church. Rev. Dave Ferguson officiated. She died jan. 21st at Cripple Creek. She was born April 10, 1884 in Gallatin, MO. She came to Colorado in a covered wagon and homesteaded in the Eagle area in the early 1900s. Survivors include a sister, Cora Harlow of Gallatin, MO; three daughters, Willa Dethlefsen of Brookin, OR, Mrs. Cora Toom of Hamilton, MO, and Mrs. Marguertie Smart of Eagle; two sons, Charles Galpin of Gypsum and Robert Galpin of Colorado Springs; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandschilren. Burial was at the Eagle Cemetery.
