Francis M. Gibson, 70, a resident of Minturn for the past six years, passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, following a stroke at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harold Wister, in Minturn.

Francis Marion Gibson was born in Louisiana, Mo., on Feb. 24, 1874. He moved to Colorado in 1904 and lived in Salida until the death of his wife, Christina Kinney Gibson, on Jan. 15, 1938. He then moved to Marie Wister and Elva Easton. Funeral services were held at the Community church in Minturn Tuesday morning, and burial was in Salida following the services. Rev. J. W. Bartrug of Eagle was in charge of the funeral services in Minturn.

He leaves to mourn his death seven children: Mrs. Wister and Mrs. Easton of Minturn; Frank and Clifford Gibson of Salida; Hayden B. of Los Angeles; Orville of Barstow, Calif., and Dorothy Halleck of Palm Beach, Fla. Also a sister, Mrs. Dora Ross of Hanibal, Mo., and seven grandchildren.
