Former Grand Junction resident, Ragena D. Labine, 45, passed
away peacefully in her sleep on September 22, 2016. She was a
retired disabled veteran.
She served in the Army National Guard during Desert Storm
as a Pharmacy Technician. She was also a medical clerk for the
Grand Junction VA before retiring. Her previous jobs were
Certified Pharmacy Technician for City Market, Safeway, and
Rite Aid. She was always very cheerful and would help anyone
in need disregarding the chronic pain she was in most of the
time. She loved her dogs, Mia, Banjo, and Ellie. They are
missing their mommy dearly.
Ragena is survived by her husband of 26 years, Thomas
Labine of Goodyear, AZ; her daughter, Kimberly, 22 (South
Carolina); son, Zachary, 18 (Anthony Garcia), of Goodyear,
AZ; niece, Chantel Jensen (Jordan), Peoria, AZ; sister, Deanna
Hinkley (Denver); and her cousins, Keith and Kristina Hatcher
of Clifton. She is preceded in death by her mom, Margaret
Murdock; father, David Hatcher; step-father, Bob Murdock, and
her sister, Davonne Arenas. She will be missed by all who knew
her. She is pain free now, looking down on all of us.
Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear,
AZ will host a viewing Thursday evening, September 29, 2016,
between 5 - 9:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Friday,
September 30, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. at the National Memorial
Cemetery of Arizona with military honors. A reception will
follow to celebrate her life.
