Charlotte Laycock passed
away November 26, 2016 at
the HopeWest Hospice Care
Center, she was 95.
Charlotte was born on
November 6, 1921 in Idaho
Falls, Idaho from the union of
Burton Luther Hovis and
Nora Francis McGahan. She
spent her childhood in Menan,
Idaho and graduated from
High School in Idaho Falls.
She married Marvin L. Coder
and he preceded her in death.
She married Virgil C.
Laycock on January 25, 1974
in Grand Junction, Colorado
and he preceded her in death
on June 3, 1994 in Grand
Junction.
Charlotte was a Certified
Nursing Assistant for twenty
five years and a homemaker. She was a resident of Grand
Junction for sixty-two years and had previously lived in
Bountiful Utah. She was of the Catholic faith and a fifty plus
year member of the IOOF/Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed
crocheting and other various crafts in her free time.
Charlotte leaves behind a son; Jim Lee (Jeanie) Laycock and
two daughters; Nora McCarville and her spouse Rick Schlenz of
Dubuque, Iowa and Rita Coder and her spouse Larry Kuretich
of Carbondale, Colorado, a brother; Burton Jeremiah Hovis of
Ammon, Idaho, six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son; James Walter Coder.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December
2, 2016 at Orchard Mesa Cemetery. A Celebration of Life
service will be held in the spring of 2017.

Charlotte Francis Laycock, 95, Grand Junction, died Nov.
26, 2016, at HopeWest and Hospice Care Center.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
She was a certified nursing assistant.
Survivors include one son, Jim Lee; two daughters, Nora Mc-
Carville of Dubuque, Iowa, and Rita Coder of Carbondale; one
brother, Jerry Hovis of Ammon, Idaho; six grandchildren; and
seven great-grandchildren.
