Carol Lee Tadvick
August 14, 1939 - January 2, 2017
Carol was born August 14, 1939, to Donalda and Virgil Harmon Eastman in Spokane, WA. Carol’s upbringing took place in the forests of Montana, as her father worked for the U.S. Forest Service. After her father’s death fighting a forest fire, Carol and her mother and sister moved to Missoula, MT, where she graduated high school. Following graduation, she
attended Montana State University in Bozeman and received her degree as an RN.
On the night of her RN capping, she met the love of her life,
Thomas G. Tadvick, D.D.S. Carol and Tom were married on
December 30, 1961 in Missoula, MT. They spent the next 55
years together.
Carol worked as a Pediatric RN at Children’s Hospital in
Omaha, NE. Daughter, Kelley Ann, was born in Omaha. Son,
Anthony Harmon, was born in Great Falls, MT (deceased, age
5). Jennifer Lee was born on Elmendorf Air Force Base in
Anchorage, AK, where Tom served as a dentist. Matthew
Thomas and Jonathon Roko were both born in Grand Junction,
CO, where she was the homemaker.
She enjoyed spending time with her family skiing in Aspen,
travelling to Mexico, playing tennis, and family BBQ’s. She was
very proud of her children and grandchildren and could always
be heard cheering them on from the stands at tennis matches,
basketball and volleyball games, soccer matches and all of their
activities. She was also a very accomplished gardener and took
great pride in her beautiful yard. Carol’s kitchen was a popular
place for family to congregate and enjoy her quick wit and sense of humor. At the end of the day, she always enjoyed reading a good book, and was a member of several book clubs.
Volunteering and giving back were always a top priority. She
was a dedicated volunteer at Holy Family Catholic School,
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, the Grand Junction Visitor’s
Center, the Food Bank, and was an active volunteer for 40 years for the Fruitvale Lions Club.
Carol is survived by her husband, Tom; sister, Ann (Don)
Johnson; daughters, Kelley (Kim) Tucker; Jennifer (Omar)
Campos; sons, Matthew (Betsy) Tadvick; Jon (Kathleen)
Tadvick, and grandchildren, Tony, Megan, Stacy, Michael,
Gabriel, Carolena, Julianna, Grace, Sarah and Mary, and greatgranddaughter, Blakely.

A wife, a mother, a grandma too, This is the legacy we have from you. You taught us love you taught us right, You gave us strength, you gave us might. A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind. You fought for us all in one way or another, Not just as a wife not just as a mother. For all of us you gave your best, Now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep, Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep. -Author Unkown We Love and Miss You Mom
