Pauline V. Bash, 84, Grand Junction, died
Feb. 1, 2017.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday
at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by a rosary
at 6 p.m. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday
at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene;
three sons, Ray Best of Post Falls, Idaho, Gary
Bash of Telluride and Larry Bash of Fort Collins;
three daughters, Barbara Monett and Virginia
McHugh, both of Grand Junction, and
Mary Baker of Fort Collins; one brother, Adolfo
Torrez Jr. of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one sister,
Nellie Torgerson of Washington, Illinois; nine
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pauline V. Bash, 84, was
called to her Heavenly home
on February 1, 2017.
She was born September 15,
1932, in Rifle, CO to Adolfo
and Catalina Torrez. She
graduated from Carbon High
School in Price, Utah.
While in Salt Lake City, UT,
she was employed by the
Health Department and an
instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studios. In Colorado, she
was with the Bureau of Mines in Rifle, CO, the Grand Junction
VA Center, School District 51 and a devoted wife, mother and
homemaker.
Pauline married Eugene Bash on February 16, 1957. They
celebrated 60 years together.
She is survived by husband, Eugene: daughters, Barbara
Monett (Mark), Virginia McHugh (Richard) and Mary Baker
(Geoff); sons, Gary Bash (Diane), Larry Bash (Dawn) and Ray
Best (Vickie); brother, Adolfo Torrez Jr.; sister, Nellie
Torgerson; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as
well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and
volunteered many years at Catholic Outreach.
Her family will miss her love and support, strong faith and
most of all her infectious laughter.
Visitation will be February 8, 4 - 6:00 p.m., Rosary at 6:00
p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Funeral Mass on February 9,
2017, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11:00 a.m. with Interment at
1:00 p.m. at Grand Junction VA Cemetery.
