Dorothy Ernestine LaCount, 89, Grand Junction, died Jan.
24, 2017, in Grand Junction.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at the Veterans Memorial
Cemetery of Western Colorado.
She is survived by a son Terry of Grand Junction; a daughter,
Janet Tezak of Grand Junction; a brother, Quinton Deweese of
Grand Junction; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

June 29, 1927 - January 24, 2017
Dorothy E. LaCount, 89,
died on January 24th, in Grand Junction. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. February 2nd at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Dorothy was born to Louis H. and Eda E. DeWeese in Collbran, Colorado. She was raised on a ranch near Molina,
Colorado and graduated from Grand Junction High School in
1945.
Dorothy married Allen LaCount on January 10, 1946. This was
the beginning of a loving, 61 year marriage.
Dorothy was a caring mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother.
She worked all her adult life, mostly operating a
television rental, and loved to be in the Colorado outdoors.
Survivors include her brother, Quinton DeWeese; sister-in-law,
Audrey (Kenneth) DeWeese; children, Terry (Donna) LaCount
and Janet (Ronald) Tezak; six grandchildren, Jason (Angela)
LaCount, Aaron (Rachel) LaCount, Ryan (Stephanie) LaCount,
Diana LaCount, Matthew Tezak, and Jacqui (Jeff) Lenahan, and
five great-grandchildren, Aeneas Lenahan, Ily Tezak, Makayla
LaCount, Colin LaCount, and Jonah LaCount.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; her parents;
brother, Kenneth and sister, Helen.
