LILA SIMPSON GRANT
Lila Simpson Grant was born in Aspen, Colorado Dec. 11, 1891In IS'l7 she moved to Leadville and three years later to Minturn. In October, 1939, she married Charles L. Grant ih Golden and returned to Minturn to live, until she became ill in 1950. From then until the time of her death, Marts 3. r". she was a patient in Samaritan Hospital in Denver. Mrs Grant was a member of the Presbyterian church and the American Legion Auxiliary, in which she was very active. She is survived by her husfcund, C. L. Grant of Gypsum; two sisters, Ella Rose of Mt. Vernon, Wash, and Margaret Slender, Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, John Simpson, Greenriver, Wyo., and Harry Simpson of China, Lake, Oadiif.
Services were held, at the Minturn Presbyterian Church March 6. Rev. J- R. Brown officiated. Roxie Zeimer. accompanied by Ethel Bayer sang '"The Old Rugged Cross" and “Some Day He’ll Make It Plain.” Pall bearers included Elmer Owen, George Bryant, Harold Wister, Emil Erland. son, I. Knott and Louis Phillips. Burial was beside her parents, Mr and Mrs James Simpson in Leadville.
