Marion Elizabeth Bestle, 84, Grand Junction, died Feb. 19,
2017, at Hospice and Palliative Care Center.
Services will take place at a later date. Burial has taken place at
Forest Lawn Cemetery in California.
She was a factory worker.
Survivors include three sons, Randy of Grand Junction, Rick
of Santa Paula, California, and Rory of Canyon Country, California;
one sister, Lonnie Stephenson of Covina, California; and five
grandchildren.

was set free from her ten year
battle with West Nile Virus on
February 19, 2017.
A memorial service will be
held at 11:00 a.m. April 8,
2017, at Redlands United
Methodist Church, 527
Village Way, Grand Junction, CO. Burial has already taken
place at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, CA.
Marion was born to Frank and Elizabeth Haist in Hollywood,
CA on April 22, 1932. She was raised in Burbank and graduated
high school with her friend, Debbie Reynolds.
Marion married Donald E. Bestle on March 31, 1953. As
members of a riding club, they enjoyed horseback riding
throughout Hollywood Hills. They raised four boys and lived in
Clearwater, FL then Burbank, CA. They were married 37 years
before Don’s passing in 1990.
She loved working with her hands and enjoyed being a Senior
Volunteer for the RSVP program in Grand Junction. Church and
Emmaus were important to her. She loved camping, fishing, and
everything to do with her grandchildren, especially game night
with family.
She is survived by sons, Randy (Margaret) CO; Rick (Rosie);
Rory (Ronda); sister, Lonnie Stephenson, CA; five
grandchildren, Megan, Kyle, Joshua (CO), Marie and Sarah
(CA); adopted granddaughter, Melissa Burke (CA); nieces,
nephews, and her companion dog, Bear.
Marion is preceded in death by her husband; son, Rex Wayne;
parents, and brother, Frank Jr.
Memorial donations to HopeWest or RUMC Messengers of
Praise drumset fund.
Marion’s family wishes to thank St. Mary’s Hospital and
HopeWest caregivers for their loving care and compassion
throughout her illness.
