Carol "Nadine" Malsbury
Vincelette, 85, retired resident
of Grand Junction, Colorado
since 1997, passed away on
Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
After a four year battle with
bone cancer, Nadine passed
away peacefully at HopeWest
Hospice in Grand Junction.
Nadine was born in Superior, Nebraska and raised on a family
owned farm nearby. She graduated from high school and
attended the University of Nebraska, where she obtained a
General Education degree in teaching, and taught grade school.
She was the youngest remaining sibling of eight children born
to Charles "Albert" and Helen (Harper) Malsbury, and was the
beloved wife and partner of Muril Vincelette for approximately
63 years.
Nadine will forever be remembered for her kind spirit,
motherhood and just dedication to raising four boys, Greg, Jeff,
David, and Brian. Nadine loved listening to classical music and
opera, golfing, snow skiing, sightseeing, traveling the world,
and being with family at their summer cabin in Dubois,
Wyoming. As a grandma and former English teacher, Nadine
taught and corrected the "proper" use of English to the end.
Mom/Grandma was loved by all and will dearly be missed.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and
Helen; two brothers, and five sisters, and son, Jeffery L.
Vincelette (2015). Nadine is survived by her husband, Muril D.
Vincelette; her remaining three sons and their families, Gregory
(Sunny) L. Vincelette of Las Vegas, NV; David (Annette) J.
Vincelette of Kanab, UT, and, Brian (Dawn) D. Vincelette of
Copley, OH; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
An informal memorial service for family and close friends was
held on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s
Funeral Home. A graveside internment will be conducted in
Dubois, Wyoming.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to
HopeWest Hospice for their wonderful care in her final hours.
HopeWest is located at 3090B North 12th Street, Grand
Junction, CO 81506.
