Jerry Lavern Moore
November 18, 1928 - March 13, 2017
Jerry Lavern Moore, 88, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away
on Monday, March 13, 2017, at his home in Grand Junction, following a brief illness.
Jerry was born in Montrose, CO on November 18, 1928, to
Roy and Carmen Moore. Jerry married Ruth Marsh in 1948 and
together had five children. In 1968, Jerry married Stella Hess
and together had one child.
Jerry was raised in Montrose, CO and spent most of his life in
Grand Junction, CO. In 1958, Jerry started Western Colorado Exterminating which later became Jerry’s Pest Control and is still in business today operated by his son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Susan Moore.
Jerry will be remembered for his never ending willingness to
help with a project and his wonderful sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by parents, Roy and Carmen Moore;
sister, Barbara Hughes; sister, Reva Davis; wife, Stella Moore
and son, Alan Stewart.
Jerry is survived by many children and step-children, Mary
(Gary) Greenfield, Danny Moore, Roy (Susan) Moore, Frank
(Tammy) Moore, Carmen (John) Wallers, Jolynn (Russ) Williams, Rodney (Linda) Ingersoll, Jim Ingersoll, Scot (Stacey)
Stewart; brother, Jim Moore, and numerous grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Grand View
Cemetery in Montrose on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
Arrangements are made by Crippin Funeral Home of
Montrose, CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.

Jerry L. Moore, 88, Grand Junction, died March 13, 2017, at
his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Grand View Cemetery in Montrose.
He was the owner of Jerry’s Pest Control.
Survivors include five sons, Danny Moore, Roy Moore, Frank
Moore, Rodney Ingersoll and Scot Stewart; three daughters, Mary Greenfield, Carmen Wallers and Jolynn Williams; one brother, Jim Moore; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great great-grandchildren.
