Katherine was born in Durango, Colorado on November 9, 1981. After two years in Durango, the family moved to Grand Junction. Katherine attended Holy Family

In second grade, she wrote her plans for the future for a school
assignment. In it she stated she would become an attorney and

Katherine had a passion for travel and made several trips to
Hawaii and Mexico, Washington D.C., New York City, Europe,
Costa Rica, Ireland and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Katherine’s last
two trips included a cruise to Alaska and a trip to Las Vegas to
visit relatives and watch her father and brother compete in the
National Archery competition.
She was surrounded by her family including her Aunt Theresa
and cousin, Anna Marie. Her sister, Gretchen, joined Katherine
for the last two weeks and cared for Katherine and her family
with love and compassion.
In addition to her parents, Katherine is survived by her brother,
