George B . Groner was born at Mount Pleasant , Pa ., in 1888 . He lived there until the outbreak of the World War when he entered Uncle Sam's army and served nine months overseas . Shortly after the war and his discharge from the service, he moved to Kansas City , Mo . In 1934 he was married to Miss Minnie Pleasant of Kansas City . The couple lived there until this summer when they came to Wolcott and were employed at the Wolcott hotel by Mrs . Effie Peate . Although having lived at Wolcott but a short time , George made many friends there and was well liked by all those who knew him . He passed away suddenly at Wolcott at the age of 49 years and eight months, leaving to mourn his death his widow, Minnie Groner; one brother of Northumberland, Pa., and one sister, Mrs.. Catherine Mitcher, of Sunbury , Pa , also several nieces and nephews, all of Pennsylvania . Funeral services were in Eagle Sunday morning, August 28 , with Mortician Andre in charge . Members of American Legion Post No . 150 of Gypsum conducted a military service in tribute to the deceased . Burial was made in Valley View cemetery at Eagle .

WOLCOTT MAN DIES SUDDENLY .
George Groner, an employee at the Wolcott hotel in Wolcott, dropped dead Thursday morning in the dining room of the hotel while going about his duties . Mr . Groner's wife was cooking for Mrs . Peate and he was assisting her . It was believed he suffered a sudden heart attack which cansed his death . His home was In Pennsylvania . Coroner Hugh Young of Minturn was called in to make an inquiry into the death .
