Don Ginther lived in Minturn for many years and raised their family there. The kids graduated from High School there. his daughter married Buster's brother (Buster Beck). Don's brother, Ralph, was killed in the mine in Gilman the same time Walt Corbin, who is buried in Red Cliff, was killed. Don's brother, Bernard, worked for Eagle County Road and Bridge for many years.

Donald Burdett Ginther, 88, died Monday morning at the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lewis & Glenn Funeral Home. Mr. Ginther was born Nov. 3, 1910 in Belvidere, Neb. He was the son fo Henry C. and Alice Hansen Ginther. He moved to Salida in 1978 coming from Minturn. He made his career as a miner. Donald is survived by his wife, Mabel, of Salida; son, Donald Ginther (Gail) of Lakewood; daughters, Dorothy Ross (Elbert) of Salida, Bobbye Carol Beck (Russell) of Cody, WY; and Melba Powers Ginther; one brother, Verle Ginther of Denver; sisters Vern Thomas of Colorado Springs, Julia (?)of Englewood, and Rosemary Poulson of Empire; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
