LOUIS GLEIFORST DIED IN DENVER TUESDAY
Louis H. Gleiforst, 61, former Red Cliff man died Aug. 28 at Veterans Hospital in Denver, following a long illness. Mr. Gleiforst was bom in Germany July 4, 1895, moving to the United States with a sister when he was 12. He served in the Army for a time and came to Colorado in 1920. He worked in the Empire Zinc mine at Gilman from 1924 until 1942 and later for Fleming Lumber Company at Minturn. Because of failing health in 1952 he moved with his family to Canon City He is survived bv his wife, Esther, and/ four sons, Louis, Jr. of the US Navy; and Carl, Jay and FranfkUn all of Canon City. Services were held Sept. 4 at Denver and burial was in th Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
