HopeWest and Hospice Care Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. April 8 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
She was a seamstress.
She is survived by one daughter, Andrea Podgorny of Grand
Junction; and two grandchildren.

Rebecca Podgorny
August 14, 1936 - March 16, 2017
Rebecca Podgorny, 80, of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away on March 16, 2017, at HopeWest Care Center.
Rebecca was born on August 14, 1936, in Tonopah, NV to the late Pablo and Aniceta Gallegos. She was one of ten siblings who remained close
throughout her life.
Rebecca married Andrew Podgorny on August 25, 1956, in
Ogden, Utah. They resided in Rockford and Moline, IL, where
Rebecca worked at Quint Cities Petroleum for 23 years. In
2003, they moved to Grand Junction to be closer to their
children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her
family, traveling to family reunions in Utah, attending her
grandchildren’s activities, watching the Chicago Cubs, walking,
sewing and quilting.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Andrea Podgorny of
Grand Junction, CO; daughter-in-law, Moni Slater-Podgorny of
Paonia, CO, and two grandchildren, Siena Maria Podgorny of
Tacoma, WA and Slater Pablo Podgorny, of Paonia, CO. She is
preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Podgorny and sons,
Kevin Podgorny and J. Gregory Podgorny.
Services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on April 8,
2017, at 1:00 p.m.
