Betty Lue Hoover, age 84,
died peacefully on April 10,
2017, at HopeWest Hospice in
Grand Junction, Colorado.
Betty was born on December
4, 1932, in Fairfax, South
Dakota, the daughter of James
and Ora Jensen. She grew up
and attended school in Mesa,
Colorado, where she
graduated in 1950. She then
became a telephone operator
and retired from US West, Inc.
after 28 years.
Family, friends, fishing,
gardening, basketball, and the
Broncos were Betty’s passion,
along with spending time with
her seven grandchildren, their
spouses, and her twelve greatgrandchildren.
Betty was preceded by five
siblings and her wonderful
husband, Ralph Treseder, of
Odgen, Utah.
She is survived by her sister, Wanda Joanne Nichols of Delta,
Colorado, and her three sons, Rick Hoover (Garnet) of Clifton,
Colorado; Dick Hoover (Dorothy) of Cañon City, Colorado, and
Daniel Hoover (Susan) of Battlement Mesa, Colorado.
Betty will be celebrated at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515
Patterson, Grand Junction, CO 81505 on Monday, April 17,
2017. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with services at 1:00
p.m. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery,
2970 North Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado 81504,
immediately following the service.

Grand Junction.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the mortuary.
She was a phone operator.
Survivors include three sons, Rick of Grand Junction, Dick of
Cañon City and Dan of Battlement Mesa; one sister, Wanda Joanne
Nichols of Delta; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
