A. P. HENDERSON DIED IN DENVER FEB 7

A. P. Henderson, former rancher and stockman of Gypsum Valley, passed away in Denver February 7, 1962, at the age of 87 years. Interment was at Fairmount, Denver February 10.

A. P. was one of five children born to Matthew and Emily Henderson was born Sept. 21, 1874 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he belonged to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and upon his graduation from college was employed in the Andrew Mellon Lumber Company commissary in Pennsylvania. He then formed and operated the Henderson Coal Company in Pittsburg, later selling out to a brother and established the Henderson Wholesale Lumber Company in Seattle, Wash. This, he sold in 1910 and he moved to Wyoming, where he operated a cattle ranch.

In 1918 Mr. Henderson bought the Grundel Brothers ranch in lower Gypsum Valley, which he owned and operated until his retirement.

In 1923 he was married to Ethel Hatch of Denver, and to this union was born one child, Jean Henderson Fuller, now of San Francisco.

Mr. Henderson retired in 1938, moving to Denver, where he lived for the remainder of his life. In the early '40s, Mr. Henderson sold part of the ranch to Frank Bershenyi.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Fuller and two grandsons, Frankie and Jimmy, of San Francisco.
