LEE O. JAYNE

Funeral services for Lee Jayne of Englewood were held at the Eagle Methodist Church Oct. ’JO. The Reverend C- Daniel Clark officiated. The funeral was directed by Bowman Mortuary of Eagle and American Legion Post 150 of Gypsum conducted military services at Sunset View Cemetery In Eagle, where Mr Jaywe was buried In the family [slot. He was preceded In death by a son, Dickie, and his father Mr Jayne was killed when his Jeep overturned near New Castle Oct. 15. when he was on a hunting trip in that area. Mr Jayne, a tree surgeon In Englewood, was a veteran of the European Theater of Operations in World War 11. going through the African and Italian campaigns and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife. Emma Randall Jayne and son, Darwin of Englewood; a daughter. Mrs. Betty Reynolds of Englewood; his mother. Mrs Olive Jayne of Eugene, Ore.; five brothers: Clarence of Eugene, Ore.; Howard, Ijus Vegas, New. Richard, Marysville. Calif : Spencer of Vallejo. Calif.; Leslie of Roseville, Calif.; and four sisters: Mrs Eva Wilder. Willow Ranch, Calif-; Mrs Fern Osborne. Burbank. Calif.; Mrs. Winona Stanton. Las Vegas, Nov- and Mrs Bonnie Morgan, Portland, Ore. Relatives attending the funeral wore the Howard Jaynes. Leslie Javno.s. Spencer Jayne, Mrs. Morgan. Lee Darwin Jayne’, 45, husband of the former Emma Randall of Eagle will be burled in Engle Monday. Mr. Jayne’s body was found near his wrecked jeep Wednesday morning in the mountains in the New Castle area. Jayne,-a Denver tree surgeon, was alone In his Jeep. The rest of his party, including his son-in-law Jack Reynolds had gone on ahead to set up their hunting camp. The two cars left Denver together. Tuesday. At the junction of Hiway 6-24 near Wolcott, Jayne urged the rest of the party not to wait for his In his slower traveling

jeep, but to go ahead and make camp. When he failed to show up Tuesday evening, his party assumed Jayne had stopper oved In Eagle. He was found by a New Castle couple the next morning. His hunting party was located by State Game and Fish personnel flying that country. Mrs. John Dunn. the former Myrtle Randall and Mr. Dunn of Denver, sister and brother-in-law Mrs Jayne were also hunting in that area. Mr. Jayne Is survived by his his wife, a daughter. Betty Reynolds and a seven-year-old son, Darwin. Eowman Mortuary Is In charge of funeral arrangements.
