Louis A. Jessen, long-time Colorado resident, died Feb. 7, 1982. Jessen was born June 7, 1892 in Aspen where he later worked as a miner. He also worked as a miner in Cripple Creek and Gilman and served as Deputy Sheriff and Town Marshall for Minturn, Colorado. Jessen Served in World War I and was a member of the American Legion, Battle Mountain Post #47. Jessen had lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past 25 years where he worked at the Golden Nugget. He is survived by a brother, John H. Jessen of Denver; sisters, Helen Nelson of Minturn, Carri Koch, Wilma Miller, and Evelyn Christensen, all of Denver. Jessen also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and friends.
