FORMER RED CLIFF MAN DIED IN LEADVILLE

Funeral services were held in Leadville Monday for Raymond O. Johnston, 59, who died May 20, following a week’s illness. Death was caused by pneumonia. Mr. Johnston, born in Malta near Leadville Sept. 5, 1890, was a bookkeeper and his trade brought him to Red Cliff where he kept books for Fleming Lumber Company for a number of years and became well acquainted in the county. He was bookkeeper for a Leadville business firm at the time of his death. He lived his life in and around Leadville, receiving .his schooling at Malta and at Leadville, graduating from the Leadville high school in 1910. He leaves a son daughter, sister and brother.
