PETE HOZA WILL BE BURIED SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral services will be held from the Presbyterian Church in Minturn Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Pete Hoza, who died in the Gilman hospital of pneumonia Tuesday morning following an illness of less than two days.
Donald Price of the Church of Jehovah Witness of Glenwood, will conduct the services and interment will be in the Mintum cemetery. Bowman Funeral Ohapel of Eagle has charge of arrangements. Mr. Hoza had been a resident of Eagle county since 1936, coming to the county from Canon City- and was employed toy the Empire Zinc Company at Gilman. Of recent years he has followed the trade of carpentry and general repair work in and around Minturn, where he had built his home. Mr- Hoza had been in normal health, complaining Sunday that he had caught a cold. He entered the hospital Monday, and death came the following morning. One of fifteen children, Pete Hoza was born in Pueblo. Colorado May 27, 1890 to Paul and Antonia Hoza. Eight of his brothers and sisters and his parents preceded him In death. He spent his early life farming in Custer county and in Fremont County, where he engaged in mining and public works maintenance. On November 17, 1915 he was married to Byrtena Mink at Canon City- To this union was born one son, James. Moving to Eagle county in 193 b to work at the Gilman mines until 1944, when he entered the employ of the city of Minturn for a year, then followed the carpenter’s trade. He is survived by his wife and son; his daughter-in-law, Nedra Wilson Hoza and two granddaughters, Vickie Layne and Kathy Lynne all of Mintum. Six brothers also survive - John of Pueblo; Andy of Wetmore; Joe of Florence; Frank of Boulder and Mike and Steve of Houston, Tex. John, Andy, Joe and Frank are exoected to arrive for the funeral- ? Pallbearers will be Joe Francis, Harry Goyett, Harry Gartside, Kar|rv Neil, Lynn Walker and Merle Heaton.
