Our beloved mother, friend, sister, and companion, Hazel M. Hughes passed away June 20 at her home in Bullhead City, AZ. She aws born Hazel M. Pearson in St. Paul, Minn on March 8, 1926. She married Douglas Hughes Sept. 13, 1945. Hazel and Doug had five children: Sue Chapman, Wells, NV; Doug Hughes, Myrtle Creek, OR; Dave Hughes, Manila, UT; and Jeff Hughes, Rye, Colo. Her husband and one son, Jim Hughes, preceded her in death. She had 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and worked for many years at Vail Cable TV before retiring to Gypsum and more recently Bullhead City. Hazel was a fun, happy, loving person and she touched the lives of many people. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held at Cedar HIll Cemetery in Gypsum on Aug. 1, at 3 p.m.
